Thanks to all my lovely clients, now friends who have trusted me wholeheartedly with their big day. My journey and my work is a gift of trust from all these lovely people I got the privilege to photograph.
I hired Rimi to shoot me and my partner on our elopement in Goa. It was not a typical wedding: the only "wedding" part was our attire. This meant we didn't have much specific to shoot. No dancing, no guests, no ceremony, no cake, no speeches. No boring stuff! It was just us. Rimi and I communicated by email and Skype a few times in the months leading up to our shoot. It was when we finally met in person, the day before the shoot, that the plan came to shape. Once we met, I felt so taken care of. All I did was give Rimi my ideas, let her into my thought processes a bit, and show her the photos of hers I liked. Then, she took over. I encourage anyone working with her to do the same. She is the pro. Our shoot turned in a day-long trip up and down the coast, stopping to shoot whenever we saw something neat (coffeeshop, colourful houses of a village, derelict ships, puppies!). With Rahul's help, Rimi captured unbelievable photos.
As a photographer, Rimi is gifted. As a person, she is a gem. She and Rahul made our day in Goa the best day of our trip to India, by leaps and bounds, and easily one of the best days of my entire life. She took all of the anxiety out of the day, which I imagine she would do just as well if you were having a big wedding with lots of moving parts. I felt calm and at ease for all of the hours of our time together.
In addition to the photos, which I still look at daily some seven months after the event, Rimi and Rahul put together a wedding album for us. Having something so tangible from a day that feels almost ethereal in memory is a true gift. My partner and I continue to talk about Rahul and Rimi, about their beautiful photos and about their friendship, and are continually brainstorming what events we can celebrate in the future so that we will have something to invite them to photograph for us.
I will forever remain indebted to Rimi and Rahul for all they gave us on that beautiful day in Goa.

a. Abhinav and Rimi literally were friends first, and clients second
b. Both of us are camera-shy, but the constant banter and the laugh until it hurt moments made it seem like we hanging out and goofing around with some friends.
4. Rimi is your money’s worth
a. We were instantly drawn to Rimi because of the quality of the work we saw online.

c. But best of all, she shot the sanctity and sacredness of each ceremony as well as the

My husband and I had an absolutely perfect wedding day, and we are beyond thankful and
thrilled that we have incredible images that we can relive and reflect for the rest of your life. Our photos breathe. They capture emotions. They stage drama. They are magazine spread caliber. And they are of us.

If I could give a 100 stars to Rimi Sen, I would. I was looking for a photographer for our wedding in Kovalam, Kerala about year ago and it was overwhelming. I came across Rimi's profile on SILK PHOTOS and was blown away by her work. I emailed her and expressed my interest. She got back to me instantly despite the time difference between India and the US.
We stayed in touch for the whole year before the wedding. A few months before the wedding, I got to meet her in Philadelphia, while she was doing a couples shoot in the city. Interacting with Rimi, felt like I had known her for ages and it was really lovely to hang out with her. It spoke volumes to her great inter-personsal skills.
When the wedding weekend finally arrived, Rimi and Raj Reddy scouted out the location, and figured out what they wanted to do! They were both incredibly professional and so fun-loving that they put me and my husband totally at ease. They made us do a bunch of crazy things, which also made the whole experience memorable. Furthermore, they worked tirelessly capturing every second of the wedding. They were so passionate about their work!
Rimi delivered the teasers and the full set of photos of our wedding weekend on time, within a few weeks. Looking at her work, brought me to tears, as she had frozen in time for us the most important day of our lives. They weren't just photos, each image was a piece of art; the colors, the framing of shots, the emotions. It felt like I was transported back in time to those moments.
We cannot have asked for a better photographer, and have so much gratitude and adoration of Rimi's work. I would recommend her in heart beat. You will not be disappointed.
